What is the goal?
Your goal is to travel around the world in as few days as possible. On your travel, you will collect clues, power-ups, and travel money.
How do I access clue packs?
Clue packs are rewarded when finishing trips within your current destination by collecting starts. To unlock the three-star clue pack you will have to finish three trips within the destination and collect three stars.
How do I earn travel money?
Travel money is earned by:
- Completing trips, the remaining HP also converts to travel money.
- Answering correctly on Quiz questions.
How do I use my clues and power-ups?
In the top right corner, you can press the backpack to open up your inventory. Click the items to use them.
What does the passport show?
In the passport, you can see which countries you have visited on your trip around the world.
Why am I not starting the journey in my home country?
The starting city/country is based on your selected nationality and your IP. If there is not a city or country in the game, you will start your travel in another one. We will add more cities and countries continuously.
Why can’t I select any location to travel to?
You can only select locations close to the airport you are currently at. To make it to a specific location you have to plan out your route.
What does the quiz question do?
The quiz questions will give you extra travel money on your journey if answered correctly.
How do I unlock all clue packs for a city?
You will have to complete 3 trips in a city to unlock all clue packs within that city.
Why do I get a country flag as a clue when it's on the pack?
This is intentional as a first clue to a country or a city, although more clues and tips will be added to the game.
What are the requirements for me to unlock the different difficulties?
- Players that are level 25 and above get access to hard.
- Players with level 50 and above get access to impossible. Independent on your level, if you complete the game at easy or medium you unlock hard, and if you complete it at hard you unlock impossible.
- If you had previous MapRunner progress, then if you had 20 unlocked countries you get access to hard and if you had 50 unlocked countries you get access to impossible.
- You will also unlock the next difficulty in line if you finish a trip around the world on a difficulty. Ex. If you finish a trip on the medium difficulty you unlock the hard difficulty.
How does the different difficulties differ from each other?
Easy/Medium: 3-minute timer, moving allowed. Medium hands out more damage than easy (you need to be closer).
Hard: 3-minute timer, no moving. Hard hands out more damage than medium.
Impossible: 30-second timer, no moving. Impossible hands out more damage than hard.
